Savannah Music Festival 2009
During the Savannah Music Festival (March 19 - April 5, 2009)
CityTrex walking tours are bundled for a special discounted rate.
This year we're all quite heavily involved with the SMF (as locals refer to the Savannah Music Festival) but we didn't fully realize just how much so until we saw the
ticket machine spit out over eight feet of perforated tickets. Wow! This is gonna be F-U-N! Springtime in the South with a dash of music from various genres. Our tickets this year include Roots, Americana, World, African, Classical, and the American Song Book. We'll stroll from one show to the next. Stroll. Sashay. Might even be Struttin' with Some Barbecue, if you know what I mean...
Take a walk, explore the musical venues in Savannah's Historic District during the day, then return for the show in the cool, cool, cool of the evening - catch that Johnny Mercer reference? In 2009 Savannah is paying tribute to native son Johnny Mercer. During every Savannah Music Festival performance the performers will incorporate a little Mercer to their act, just to, you know, "Ac-Cent-Tchu-Ate the Positive"
CityTrex walking tours are bundled for a special discounted rate. Discounts are credited to your account post-purchase, based on the bundle. Questions? Just click and ask via email. We hope you enjoy the bundle of self-guided audio walking tours, because, like we said, in 2009 we are all in and this is going to be fun!
One more thing:
"You've got to accentuate the positive
Eliminate the negative
And latch on to the affirmative
Don't mess with Mister In-Between
You've got to spread joy up to the maximum
Bring gloom down to the minimum
Have faith or pandemonium's
Liable to walk upon the scene"
- Johnny Mercer, "Accentuate The Positive"
